Fee Refund Policy
In accordance with the guidelines issued by the University Grants Commission (UGC), SGLC has framed the following Admission Cancellation and Fee Refund Policy to ensure transparency, administrative efficiency, institutional discipline, and the protection of students’ interests. The policy shall be applicable to all students seeking admission to any academic program offered by the institution, and all applicants along with their guardians are advised to read it carefully before confirming admission.
1. Applicability of the Policy
This refund policy shall apply to admissions taken in all courses conducted by the institution, including but not limited to B.A. LL.B. (5 Years) and LL.B. (3 Years) programs.
2. Admission Confirmation
Admission shall be considered confirmed only after the payment of prescribed fees and submission of required documents. Once admission is confirmed, the seat is reserved for the concerned student and cannot ordinarily be allotted to another applicant after the commencement of the academic session.
3. Procedure for Admission Cancellation
Students seeking cancellation of admission must submit:
A written application for cancellation addressed to the Principal/Director
Original fee receipt(s)
Identity proof of the student
Bank account details for refund processing
The application must clearly mention the reason for withdrawal and date of admission.
4. Refund Processing
Approved refunds shall ordinarily be processed within 30 working days from the date of submission of complete documents and approval by the competent authority. Refunds shall be made through bank transfer or any other approved mode decided by the institution.
5. Institutional Rights
The institution reserves the right to:
Verify all claims before processing refund applications
Reject incomplete or false applications
Modify or amend the refund policy from time to time in accordance with institutional requirements, university guidelines, or legal provisions
6. Acceptance of Terms
Submission of admission form and payment of fees shall be deemed as acceptance of this refund policy by the student and guardian. Students are therefore advised to seek proper clarification regarding fees, course structure, and institutional rules before taking admission.
Note: As per the norms and guidelines prescribed by the University Grants Commission (UGC), the institution’s decision concerning admission cancellation and fee refund matters shall be treated as final and binding on all applicants.
